Tall case brass dial clock, ca. 1780.

Cherry tall-case clock. The hood has a pagoda top with pierced fretwork, three turned compressed-ball-and-spire finials, a molded arch above the door, fluted columns at the front corners and a glazed door with an astragal top. Waist with cove molding at the top, fluted quarter columns at the front corners and a case door with a shaped serpentine top. Stepped base with cove and ovolo moldings at the top, and ogee moldings at the bottom. Engraved dial with roman hour numerals and arabic minute numerals, engraved scrolls and acanthus leaves in the spandrels and lunette, and the inscription "Daniel Burnap East Windsor" in the lunette surrounded by an engraved cartouche. Inside the chapter ring there is a seconds dial, a calendar aperture, and engraved foliate ornament. Eight day movement.
